How do I display a performance indicator at all time?

Most emulators have an option to display FPS and a % indicator of performance at all times. No$GBA only does this when there's a change in performance. I want it enabled all of the time but I'm not sure what changes I need to make to the configuration.ini to enable it. Any ideas?

Hello everyone,

I just started having some fun with No$GBA and I thought I'd post a quick button configuration guide useful for those players who plan on using a Xbox 360 Controller with No$GBA as I do. If you got a Xbox 360 Controller lying around I suggest you connect it to your PC and give it a try with No$GBA!

If you'd like to setup your Xbox 360 Controller to mimic the button layout of a NDS then change the No$GBA Joysticks/Gamepads settings in Options -> Controls Setup (F11) to match...

I'm using ver. 2.6a and I was playing with my sister on Kirby and the amazing mirror and I closed off the emulator for the night. I come back in the morning and...THE EMULATOR CRASHES TRYING TO LOAD THE INTRO!! WHYYYYYY!??!?!?

It's been a while since I last tried playing the game using no$gba + no$zoomer. I stopped playing the game due to random crashes that I encounter during the game. Is there a fix for this?

I was playing Pokemon mystery dungeon of sky and saved just before chapter 2 and got to chapter 3 when I couldn't save. I even tried to go to title screen save and it failed and deleted the progress I had. It would help if it had save states as both a GBA emulator I had and the DS emulator I had for if the game suddenly fails to save. Any help as I am excited to use this Emulator a lot for both. (Also side note. If there was a 'pause when inactive' feature would be helpful)

Hello there, I've tried helping myself and read alot, unfortunately couldn't solve yet.

I'm running NO$GBA 2.8d. I've managed to get my two separate games (FireRed and LeafGreen) loading their respective saved games using the instructions you've given here.

My problem is that when I try to link them (in the PokeCenter), I'm told that the Wireless Adapter is not connected. When I go to the Direct Corner (for GBA Link Cable connection), the game freezes. If I try to connect the games...

Using 2.8f
If I Alt-Tab from no$gba, it doesn't register Alt key being released when it's not the active window. It's especially problematic for me, since I have A B buttons configured to Z X keys, and pressing Alt-X closes no$gba without prompting of any kind.

i have a problem with running an NDS file with No$GBA.
I was trying to run Pokemon White(nostalgia purposes) and i come up with an error i never saw while playing the game 10 years ago.
Here is the error message:

Can anyone help me figure out whats going on? i tried resettuing the cartrige, reinstalling the rom, but nothing worked. The error message itself seems like a legit part of the game, so i know the rom itself is legit.

Greetings,

All was well and saved/loaded fine on numerous occasions (so I have a .SAV file in the "Battery" folder named indentically to the .ROM file). However, after loading the game and, out of pure, ignorant curiosity, changing the "NDS Mode/Colors" setting from the default (sadly, not sure what this default even was--yes, indicative of my aforementioned ignorance) to "DSi (retail/16MB)", I only see a "New Game" when loading the same .ROM.

This is tragic and drivin me nuts.
House sitting in the country with no TV and only my phone to draw net from. So i dl'd NoGBA and pokemon emerald. Got to gym 5 and just got surf.

Then I called it a night.

So tonight I try to boot it up again; NoGBA wont seem to start. It got a error when I tried; so I just dl'd again and no problem with the new copy.

HOWEVER, it no treats my save file like it doesnt exist.

I tried putting it in the battery folder like some sites suggested; but no go there....

Ugh Help Me Please. Everything was Working fine...and then...

I dont see anything that relates to what I'm going through now.

If this question was already anwsered, I'm sorry but I have to ask.

Okay, I'm using No$gba 2.6a. Its been workin fine and all. It used to crash from time to time, but I thought I knew how to work over that. I've been saving every 10 minutes or around there. It was working fine. For some reason now, its been crashing everytime I save. I've been saving every 3 to 5 minutes, cause thats the only way its been workin now....

Hello. I'm new here, and just downloaded No$GBA today. I had played through and completed Pokemon Soulsilver on a flash cart, and was planning to start a game of Pokemon Platinum, which I would trade to. I copied the save file from the flash cart to the battery folder in No$GBA, however when I try to run Soulsilver, it crashes when I select the save file. How do I avoid this?

[Debugger] How do you view the bytes in RAM memory in 2-bytes or 4-bytes chunk?

And if possible, can there be more visual improvements made to the debugger, so it shows fixed points 16.16, fixed points 20.12, unsigned and signed integers based on 2-bytes and 4-bytes display, a d floating points in general?

When realistically attempting to use the debugger, I find it cumbersome that it's not an interactive debugger. Mainly, you can hold or set some triggers in software, so inputs can be passed to the debugger, and have the debugger trace out what would happen when the game...

Filter for texts and Pause/Bg Pause button

Is there any soft filter for texts in general? This is the fastest NDS emulator I've ever seen, but I can barely read the Dragon Quest IV text.

Also I need a pause button that stays on whenever I need to alt-tab or lose focus of the emulator... or at least something to mute the sound.

If you start nogba it gives you options to start with your files.lst,
But how did you make them?

It would be a cool feature in terms of organize for nogba

I have searched this forum for an answer,
one of them just questions and other that say nogba file.lst creator,

Graphics Error with Megaman ZX Advent on 2.8f+

On no$gba versions 2.8f and greater (including the new 2.9), I noticed the game Megaman ZX Advent now has some corrupted graphics. The game looked fine at least on versions 2.8d and older.

Here is a comparison of the game on no$gba 2.8d and 2.8f.

Hi,

I have a small question about the no$gba debugger.

When a game is using a texture image in the VRAM-A, register 4000240 is 0x83, i.e., MST bits are 3 and OFS bits are 0. According to the gbatek documents, in this case, the texture is stored in Slot 0, and it is not mapped to the CPU, but only can be accessed through display controller.

So, is there any way to dump this Slot memory or to see its contents in the no$gba debugger? As far I understand, this slot memory is not part of VRAM...
